She saw him; silhouetted in the light of the club.

Fedora tipped down low over his eyes, high-collared coat shadowing his face.

He was sprawled lazily over a chair, swirling a martini, and yet exuded an air of certainty; of arrogance.

A mysterious stranger; one that the girl was entirely hesitant to approach.

Turning away as another song started, she felt a tap on her shoulder.

He was standing there behind her, a hand extended in silent invitation.

Swallowing hard, the girl shook her head no.

From beneath the darkness of his hat, she could make out light hair dyed dark at the ends, and a reckless, lazy grin that almost seemed to say, "No talking to strangers and all that, right? No problem."

With naught but a tip of his hat, he spun on his heel and went to move away.

Curiosity and confusion gnawed at the girl.
Her common sense was telling her that there was something utterly foreign, utterly dangerous about the man, but she wanted to know - out of all of the girls in the club, who would have accepted his offer without a second thought, why had he asked her to dance - a quiet newcomer?

"...Wait. I-I accept your offer."

His smile widened, white teeth glinting in the odd light of the club. He let out a low chuckle, spinning to face her. "Thanks, babe - live a little."

And with that, he took her hand faster than she could blink, and spun her onto the dancefloor.
Though the song playing had a fast, electronic beat for headbanging and the crowd was thick, he navigated them effortlessly through it, dancing a tango to the tune as though it was made for it.

The girl couldn't help blushing a little as he led the dance, that grin flashing down at her again, and it was then that she realised just how tall and muscular the stranger was - it was a wonder he had gone unnoticed for so long.

He caught her gaze, violet eyes locking on to hazel, and he chuckled again. "So, tell me - what's a girl like you doing in a place like this? I have a feeling you don't come here often."

Oh, but he was charming, his low, purring voice causing her to flush red again.
Shaking her head once more, common sense kicked in. "What's your name? It would be rude of you not to introduce yourself," she asked, attempting to distance herself from him.

"My name? It's not even worth mentioning."

"Sounds like something a stalker would say."

"...Heh. You seem like fun. Just don't go looking for love in the wrong places, babe, or you'll end up messed up. Refreshing to see a girl who has some common sense."

The last remark took her aback, and she wasn't quite sure how to respond.
Opting to instead say nothing, she let the music sweep her away, the easy movements of the stranger guiding her steps; twisting and twirling through the crowd.
A low dip, and suddenly the song was over, as the man's lips lightly brushed hers, those violet eyes drawing her in.

And then he was gone.

She stood motionless for a few moments, trying to see if she could glimpse his coat and hat somewhere in the crowd.
There was no trace at all.
Wondering if her drink had perhaps been spiked, the girl walked back to her chair, intending to take a few minutes rest before she headed home.

It was on the chair she saw it- a single long-stemmed rose. A gorgeous red, thornless, there was a note tied to it with a ribbon.

{Thanks for the dance, babe.}

HELP I'VE BEEN HOOKED ON DOODLING OFFENDY AGAIN AND THEN I CAME UP WITH THIS
I THINK I NEED HELP

...That aside, I was listening to "All the Wrong Places" by Example, aaand then the idea of Human!Offenderman dancing the tango to an electronic song just popped into my head.
Yeah, I might stick with drawing and writing a child-friendly version of this character...
